New Venture Launch Planning

I teach launch planning for new ventures to master's and other students. The basic premise of this course is that once you have a business plan, one still needs to figure out the detailed, actionable steps necessary to reach viability and exit. Topics include:

  • Business model canvases
  • Estimating recurring costs, revenues, and business viability using fishbone diagrams
  • Estimating nonrecurring costs and timing using project management techniques
  • Risk management and response planning, including when to pivot
  • Supply chain and operations planning

The syllabus for this course, which is representative, can be found here.
